A Media Conclave on the theme Mass Communication, Society and Globalization: Restoring Trust in the area of Spurious News was organized by International Chamber of Professional Education and Industry (ICPEI) in association with Institute of Technology and Science, Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad in Chanakya Auditorium.
Media Conclave was inaugurated with ceremonial Lamp Lighting by Guest of Honour of Sunil Dang, Editor in Chief (Day After), Vipin Gaur, Editor and Writer, Lakshmi Shankar Bajpai, Retd Deputy Director General, All India Radio, Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Surinder Sood, Director (PR), Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director (Management) at 11.00 AM in Chanakya Auditorium, I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad.
On this auspicious occasion Dr. Ajay Kumar , Director Management introduced all the dignitaries on the dias and shared his thoughts on Media Conclave and its relevances in contemporary times. Surinder Sood, Director (PR) welcomed all the dignitaries and participants, threw light on significance of role of media in the age of globalization and advocated for independent, fearless and creation of fact based journalism.
Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman- The I.T.S. Group emphasized on active participation of educational institutions towards restoring trust in the era of spurious news and creating awareness amongst the people. He expressed his sense of gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants who participated in the conclave and enlightened the audience with their significant thoughts and deliberations. He insisted on the participation of students in these learning sessions to enrich their knowledge base on media, journalism and mass communication.
On this occasion, Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, Surinder Sood, Director (PR), Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director (Management) and President (ICPEI) offered Honorary Membership Certificates to all the dignitaries and representatives of mass media and also released poster of future event Global Strategic Leadership Conclave scheduled to be organized by International Chamber of Professional Education and Industry (ICPEI) under the aegis of I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad.

The first session of panel Discussion on the theme Media Outreach: Responsibility and Accountability was conducted under the moderatorship of Lakshmi Shankar Bajpai, Retd Deputy Director General (AIR), where in renowned media representatives like Sanjay Singh, Deputy Manager (Sahara India), Ashish Kumar Singh , Journalist (Aaj Tak), Arti Malhotra, RJFM Rainbow, Priya Raj, Anchor, Sahara Samay and Shishir Sinha, Sr. Deputy Editor, Hindu Business Line shared their thoughts on different media issues in the most interactive manner suggested his views on contemporary issues.
The Second session of Panel Discussion comprised of the eminent media personalities Rashid Hashmi, Anchor FM News, Kanchan Dogra, India TV, Priyank Dubey, Anchor, DD TV, Amitabh Srivastava, Executive Editor (Former) TV Today Network, Barkha Varsha, writer and Editor, Dheeraj Sarthak, Film Maker and Journalist, Network 18 and Ajay Shukla, Editor in Chief, India TV Network, participated in discussion based on the theme “Media and Globalization and significantly contributed their views and enlightened the audience with their thoughts and deliberations.
This is worth mentioning that with the view point of Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR), I.T.S Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organizes very frequently events based on Social Development Activities, Awreness Programs, Government preferred programs such as Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Abhiyan, Skill Development Programs for the overall upliftment of society and troden down class people. For this purpose, the institute runs Parivartan the slum education programme & Utthan facilitating economically deprived meritorious students. The Institute also regularly organizes Blood donation camp,Dental treatment camp, Tree-plantation campaign and Clothes donation camp in the slum areas of Ghaziabad with sincerity and devotion by engaging teachers and students for effective implementation of CSR activities.
I.T.S Mohan Nagar has a rich tradition to organize such events based on contemporary social issues in addition to its regular academic, professional and research based activities with its prime objectives of creating a sense of awareness amongst the people and ensuring sincere efforts of the institution for social development and as a catalyst for nation building and hence this institution organizes very frequently events based on social and economic development, research promotion, participation in government prescribed activities. Media Conclave is also a part of the same endeavor to create social awareness amongst the people and to provide a platform for positive thinking towards mass media and society in context of globalization.
