Hariyali Teej celebrates the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and is a fusion of love and dedication
On 13th August 2018, Birla Institute of Management Technology, Greater Noida, celebrated the festival of Haryali Teej with enthusiasm and zeal that was organised by the Food Conduit. The whole campus was decorated by marigold flowers and colorful strips which delighted the eyes of Bimtechians and filled them with joy and mirth.
The morning was full of crowd wearing Indian colorful attire to represent their happiness. The occasion started at 11 am, with girls applying henna on their hands and later, competing among themselves. In evening, there was a Chaat Festival in which the whole mess and canteen staff was dressed up in ethnic outfits and served at various food stalls that were set up in the campus. Stalls varied from dahi bhalla chat, aaloo chat, samosa chaat, gol gappe, which made the students crave for it. The environment of the campus was lively and full of cheer and laughter while students danced at the beat of dhol and nagada.
Students living away from their homes recalled their moments of happiness that they spent with their families. These festivals help them get closer to their friends, faculty and institution.
