Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav had dissolved existing district units of 12 districts in Uttar Pradesh and had appointed new district presidents. In the reshuffle, Veer Singh Yadav has been nominated as Gautam Buddh Nagar Samajwadi president. He has replaced Fakir Chand Nagar who was incumbent district president of GB Nagar unit.
New presidents have been asked to nominate other members of their working committee within a week and ensure adequate representation of youth and women in the council.
