Noida Greater Noida city bus service gets second award.

Noida Greater Noida bus project has been awarded with a special award under the category "Best city bus service Project" for best practice projects in urban transport. The award has been given by the Government of India, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The honor comes less than six months after the bus project was given "India Recognition award" at Montreal, Canada at UITP global summit of Urban Public Transport in May this year.

Speaking to TOI, P.D Upadhyay, General Manager (Finance), Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) said that the "it was a great accomplishment by Noida’s Metro company, which had launched the city bus service on December 14, 2016." "We are proud of being awarded for our efforts and will continue to provide the best and maximum reach bus service to our citizens," he said.

Fifty air-conditioned low-floor buses operate across eight routes. The service provides intra connectivity in Noida and Greater Noida. The buses are operating under the umbrella of the UPSRTC. Till the bus service was launched, commuters had faced a lot of problem because of no consistent bus service available between the city.
