Ganga Water Project in Greater Noida

The proposed water supply scheme is based on the projected population under Master Plan 2021. The Scheme is being executed in three parts and the brief description of the scheme is mentioned below:-

i) For the withdrawal of 85 cusec Ganga water from Upper Ganga Canal at Dehra for Greater Noida, U.P. Irrigation Department has executed the works of lining of different canals/distributaries in approximately 9.95 lacs sqm. area and constructed a Head Regulator at Upper Ganga Canal at Dehra as deposit work. The above work has been completed 100%.

ii) For the distribution network of 85 cusec Ganga Water in different sectors of greater Noida the pipe line of dia from 200mm to 1400mm, of approximate length of 89.0 km, along with 25 nos. Under Ground Reservoir have been proposed and the work is being executed by UP Rajkiya Nirman Nigam Ltd. on PMC basis. At present pipe line approximately in the length of 70.0 km has been laid down and construction over 19 nos. UGRs are under progress. Approximately 80% work has been completed on site. Total cost of project is Rs. 318.00 crore.

iii) In this part of scheme the 1600 mm dia. Raw Water Conveyance Main will be laid down from intake point at Dehra to Water Treatment Plant near village Palla, the approximate length of this pipe line is 17.90 km. and Clear Water Conveyance Main from Water Treatment Plant near village Palla to Master Reservoir near sector KP-IV, which is approximately 5.10 km., Primary Treatment Works at intake point near village Dehra and 210 MLD capacity Water Treatment Plant near village Palla. For this project a loan of Rs. 220.25 crore has been sanctioned by NCRPB. At present NIT has been published and pre-bid meeting has been organized for these works. The approximate cost of project is Rs. 320.00 crore.
