Annual Post Graduate Sports & Cultural Day Celebration at ITS Dental College

I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida celebrated Annual Post Graduate Sports & Cultural Day on Saturday, 04 th February 2017.
The festival was officially declared open by the Vice Chairman Mr. Sohil Chadha. Also present on the occasion were Prof. Anmol S. Kalha (Director PG. Studies), Dr. Puneet Ahuja (Principal), all the Heads of Departments, Faculty & Students.Mr Sohil Chadha, said that this event is held every year to provide a more homely atmosphere to the students at I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida. Prof. Kalha (Director PG. Studies) spoke on the need of such Co-curricular activities to be held regularly. He encouraged the students to whole heartedly participate & make this event a grand success.Dr. Ahuja (Principal) welcomed the gathering and insisted on mass participation in such sports & cultural events. He said that these events decrease the stress level in the life of students and
also give them chance to build a team spirit.The day was marked with array of events both sports & cultural. The highlight of the sports event was a closely fought cricket match between the faculty team & the team of Post graduates. After a competent show by faculty and post graduate students the match was won by the post graduates. As the evening set in, the cultural fiesta took over. With pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot tapping music, the party began with a blast, joy and happiness could be seen in every
student’s face. Stage performances were done by Post Graduate students and faculty members which included dance performances, mad ads, skit, solo singing, instrumental music and a scintillating performance by the College Band –PULSE.The major attraction of event was the Fashion show by students showcasing their traditional attire in beautifully choreographed rampwalk. The performance represented the true colors of India and gave the message of “Unity in Diversity”.This was followed by a DJ night where all the students joined together for dance on foot-tapping music. After a vibrant evening of fun, frolic and dance, all the faculty members and postgraduate students enjoyed a sumptuous dinner on the college lawns.This activity has been made as a part of annual celebration by the group. It promotes harmony among the students and gives everyone a feeling of a unified family that is called as ITS – Parivaar. It was a wonderful evening and the program ended with lot of bon homice between the HOD’s, faculty members and post graduate students.
