Savitri Bai Phule Balika Inter College celebrated its annual day ‘Myriad’ with a motto ‘ Journey Towards Excellence’
Shri. Deepak Agarwal IAS, CEO GNIDA graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Shri Manoj Rai , PCS Registrar G.B.U was the Guest of Honour.
The function began with an auspicious lamp lighting ceremony to invoke the blessings of Almighty, followed by prize distribution ceremony where the Chief Guest felicitatated the students for their outstanding performances in scholastic and co scholastic areas. Class 10 students who achieved a perfect 10 CGPA were awarded.
Shanno Khanam , Ashwani and Diksha Chaudhary were the first , second and third position holders respectively in class XII . Bhawna Vats, Charu Bansal , Sneha Bansal, Komal Singh and Jyoti Gautam were awarded for special contribution towards school activities. Amidst heavy applause Schiller Bhati was awarded the sports person of the year.
The Coveted Savitri Bai’s student of the year award was given to Shaily Bhati .
The highlight of the evening was a culture programme based on the theme “ Environment” which was a beautiful presentation of music and dance. The programme commenced with a scintillating Saraswati Vandana and various songs and dance performances with a message that we should be good stewards of earth that we have inherited, as all of us have to share the earth’s fragile ecosystem.
While addressing the gathering the chief guest Shri. Deepak Agarwal IAS, CEO GNIDA appreciated the school and the function. He also praised the Principal of the school for inculcating the virtues in children. The guest of Honour Shri Manoj Rai , PCS Registrar G.B.U in his address motivated the students to continue their toil and attain greater heights in life.
The Vote of thanks was proposed by the Principal Ms. Rima Dey.
The Grand Spectacle came to a close with the national anthem.
