Ryan International School, Noida Extension celebrated its Annual Sports Day

Ryan International School, Noida Extension celebrated its annual sports day for classes 3-9. The programme was a tremendous success and was graced by the presence of Ms. Monika Choudhary, National level swimmer, a World Record holder and a recipient of the Indian Icon Award of 2018 and Mr. Santosh Kumar, an accomplished athlete in the Asian Games as the Chief Guests of the day. The day was a reflection of the hard work and dedication that the students put all year round in various physical pursuits.
The programme started with the blessings from the Almighty and was followed by a beautiful prayer dance. The guests were welcomed in multilingual speeches in English, Hindi, Marathi, Rajasthani and Punjabi and a welcome dance performed by the students. The Principal of the school, Ms. Jayshree Das addressed the audience and she told the students about the importance of dedication and hard work and also wished them luck for the activities lined up for the day. The guests were felicitated by the President and Prime Minister of the Student Council.
To keep in line in with the spirit of sports day, a March past was showcased by the Student Council of the School, School Band and the four houses. Followed by this, the torch lightening ceremony was done by the guests and the oath of sports day was taken by the Sports Minister of the school council. The sports meet was declared open and numerous competitions were conducted for the students of all classes which included races and long jumps. The students won a total of 84 medals and certificates as a mark of great victory which included 28 Gold, 28 Silver and 28 Bronze. The awards were also presented to the Best House and the Best Athletes. The sports day was a display of training and skills of the students that was showcased in the form of Mass PT, Aerobics and Taekwondo. The enthusiasm and the show put up by the students were greatly appreciated by the guests. They congratulated the students on their achievements and wished them good luck for their future endeavours. The meet was declared closed by delivering the vote of thanks in three foreign languages- English, French and German and by singing the school anthem and the national anthem
