4th 11SportsInter School Table Tennis State Championships 2018 co-sponsored by ITS College, Ghaziabadunder the auspices of Table Tennis Federation of India and jointly organized by 11Sports and UP Table Tennis Association is being held at ITS College, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad from 13 to 16 November 2018
Organising Secretary Shri Rishi Raj Tyagi said that about 350 participants (including Girls players) from all over the State are expected to take part in the tournament.The matches will be held in two sessions i.e. morning from 9.00 am to 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm to 8.30 pm daily.The finals will be played on 16th November from 2.30 pm. Shri Amit Kumar Singh, International Umpire will be the Chief Referee.
Hony. Secretary, U.P. Table Tennis Association Arun Kumar Banerjee said that the tournament will be held for:
A. Team Events
1) Sub-Junior Boys – Boys studying in Class/Standard up to 7th. Together one team
2) Sub-Junior Girls – Girls studying in Class/Standard up to 7th. Together one team
3) Junior Boys – Boys studying in Class/Standard8th; 9th&10th. Together one team
4) Junior Girls – Girls studying in Class/Standard 8th; 9th&10th. Together one team
B. Individual Events
1) Sub-Junior Girls – For Girls studying in up to 7thClass/Std only
2) Sub-Junior Boys – For Boys studying in up to 7thClass/Std only
3) Junior Girls – For Girls studying in 8th, 9th & 10th Class/Std only
4) Junior Boys – For Girls studying in 8th, 9th & 10th Class/Std only
5) Senior Girls – For Girls studying in 11thand 12thClass/Standard only
6) Senior Boys – For Girls studying in 11thand 12thClass/Standard only
One State Champion Team / Individual from each State in each category shall qualify for the National Championships. The winning Team / Individual in this Stage shall be the ‘National Inter School Champions – 2018 of that category.
The tournament was inaugurated by Sri Arpit Chaddha, Vice Chairman, ITS-The Education Group and dignitaries Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director(Management),Dr. Sunil Pandey,Director (IT),Dr. Vidya Shekhari, Director(U.G.), Prof. Nancy Sharma, Vice Principal(U.G.), Sh.Rishi Raj Tyagi, Convenor (Ghaziabad District Table Tennis Committee-A), Dr. D.K.Pandey, Faculty Sports Cordinator and Mr. R. S. Chawala, Sports Cordinator on 13th Nov’2018 at 2.30 PM in I.T.S. Sports Complex, Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad.
