RYAN GREATER NOIDA REPRESENTED AT INTERNATIONAL SOLAR ALLIANCE 2018

Ryan International School, Greater Noida was privileged to be part of 1st Assembly of International Solar Alliance held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Five students of Class XI, Abhishek, Deepit Arora, Yukta Pandey, Yogya Agarwal, Varad Pund were selected by IIT Mumbai and Ministry who took initiative train students to make solar lamps and create awareness on solar energy. During the workshop students assembled various parts of solar kit and made lamps. These lamps were used by them at Vigyan Bhawan to greet Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, UN Secretary General Mr. Antonio, External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj and dignitaries from 40 countries.

Students felt excited by the words of Prime Minister that “there should be one world with one grid of solar energy to save it”.

Deepit class XI student was highly inspired by the words of UN Secretary General Mr. Antonio who mentioned. “Stone age didn’t end because of depletion of stones but because newer technologies were not available and same should not happen for the fossil fuel age and it should not end because of depletion of fossil fuel but we should save it by using newer technologies like solar energy”

Children came back excited and motivated. They pledged to create awareness to use renewable source specially solar energy to save mother earth.

The school management and Principal appreciated the effort of the teacher and students for taking this initiative and utilizing ATL. Completely for the benefit of the society.
