IIT Bombay organized two days Faculty Development Program in Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida

IIT Bombay organized an AICTE approved Faculty Development Program on “Foundation Program in ICT for Education” on 24th & 25th March 2018. Faculty from ABES Ghaziabad, DAV Kanina, GL Bajaj Greater Noida and Dronacharya Group of Institutions – Greater Noida attended the FDP.

Inaugurating the FDP on 24th March 2018, Padma Bhushan – Prof. Deepak B. Phatak, Dept. of CSE, IIT Bombay said that IIT Bombay has been involved with distance synchronous education, since the year 2000.

Until very recently, they had been organizing training workshops on specific subjects of Engineering and Science Education, most of which are taught as core courses in colleges and universities. But since there has been a tremendous shift in the teaching-learning pedagogy, online educational methodology and flipped-classrooms are the order of the day. To empower our teachers with skills and competencies for proper and effective use of ICT in education is a must for enhancement in quality of education in our country.
