On 15th August 2018, Pragyan School, Greater Noida, celebrated Independence Day with zeal and spirit befitting the occasion. With the view that true Independence is abstinence from disease and with an urge to lead today’s generation towards a disease free country, the school pledged for a healthy lifestyle by flagging a cycling activity in the wee hours of the pleasant morning of 15th August. 40 students, a few parents and teachers cycled enthusiastically and covered a stretch of 13km in 70 minutes.
A glass of cool and refreshing lemonade brought the students energetically back on their feet to mark their reverence for the National Tricolour. Alongwith two students of Kindergarten, the Principal hoisted the flag and saluted the martyrs whose sacrifices allow us to breathe in free air.
The rendition of our National Anthem and patriotic songs filled everyone with a glorious feeling of being an Indian. Preserving and revelling in one of the age old fun activity of our country, the students then tried their hands on kite flying – dotting the sky with saffron, white & green. Everyone enjoyed ladoos and vouched their sincerity towards the nation. The Principal thanked everyone’s presence and encouraged all to contribute in their own little ways towards the betterment of the society and nation at large.
