Greater Noida : M/s Noida Power Company Ltd.(NPCL), a distribution licensee of Greater Noida area yesterday signed Medium Term Power Purchase Agreement with M/s PTC India Limited (PTC) For 100MW RTC power from December, 2018 to March,2020. This is the first medium term PPA signed in the country following competitive bidding through DEEP (Discovery of efficient electricity price) Portal of Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.
Sh. R. C. Agarwala, Managing Director & CEO stated that “this agreement would help NPCL to meet the growing demand in Greater Noida area and also provide 24×7 reliable power supply to all its consumers, fulfilling the mission of the State Government. NPCL is confident to get transmission access as per its requirement both from PGCIL (CTU) & UPPTCL (STU).
NPCL is expecting around 400MW of peak demand during summer of 2018 which would rise further in the next few years due to accelerated Industrial Investments following the highly successful Investors Summit recently held by the State Government as well sharp rise in occupancy in Greater Noida (West).
